Looks to me like a "issue" with the "normals".
Possibly even shadow related stuff.

Nah, that's a regular seam even blizztextures have. For some reason textures have a 1 px border with lower opacity than needed

The usual case of 'try again and it just works'
I think it may have been another texture causing this and the robe texture was a red herring (excuse the pun) - i'm thinking the trousers under the robe..? since ive not touched them in this new version
