Got my mount retroported successfully! Only thing is the camera is off when I zoom in while mounted. Camera will zoom toward the back of the mount instead of on the character. Does this get adjusted in the m2 file in 010 editor under the camera values?

camera can be affected by a couple of factors.
-the mountHeight column in CreatureModelData being too small can lower the camera when mounted. (i forget if geobox plays into this as well tbh)
-the mount being ported improperly.
-possibly the m2's bounding box being too small, haven't played around much with that one
-if the camera works as a ground mount (specifically in non-flight zones) but shifts downward when used in flying zones, then the $CMA event needs to be changed in the m2
-in *very rare* scenarios, there are a couple mount models which position the player through the parent bone's translation data, leaving the attachment point at 0,0. this is *rarely* the case and i've only seen it on one mount, but its probably not your issue.

also as a side note, the camera section in the m2 is not for player camera, that is for how the mount model appears in the mounts window and nameplate portraits

Thanks again for the information, very helpful! I'll mess around and see what I can find! This has been both fun and frustrating lol.
