from my experience it looks terrible in many zones, ascension allows to increase it built in with the sliders.
instantly tirisfal glades lost all its immersion it starts looking like elwynn forest.
Would be cool if it didn't interfere with the intended immersive fog for some zones

I found that a good setting is around 1000, default is 600 or something.
Beyond 1000 immersion is lost

There's a few dungeons in HoT where it would look better with a bigger draw distance. You could change it based on the map.

BC/WOTLK zones are built around the updated distances, they are very large and open you can see far away.
For msot vanilla zones, you can see the zone borders and it makes them look very narrow, and also fucks up some zones immersion
