yeah, sure, unless it is self modifying code or some black magic bullshit - but my gut feeling tells me, all the 335a code is static.
and then you have to keep in mind that you can also do jumps instead of proper call instructions, in order to resume process flow somewhere else - this might not be seen as a function in the usual sense, and i do not know who ghidra/ida handles those weird edge cases

those weird edge cases are why i ask that stupid question - if it was a hello world program, sure, it would be comparatively easy to have a total number that is reliable ^^

Funny that you say that. I try to pick a random function each day and RE the entire function downwards as far as I can.
Sometimes even upwards as well
