I actually go with Natrist advice and skip the whole event system, just replicate my own scheduler and register and call the events that WoW actually uses manually via a Unity handler.
I mean it's only a few events anyways... key up/down etc, mouse, init/destroy

Gonna have to figure out how to handle objects as well. Cause objects are consistent, like the UI.
Only needs repaint if changed, not a constant loop. Lots and lots of stuff to figure out
