Also I don't mean to say he could, I don't know this person, just seen quite the tricks in the past with people who made sophisticated cheats/bots etc

I mean I decompile his bot and look at what he does to avoid it (which I did) and just find a new way. It's a cat and mouse game, always will be for anticheat. It works for private servers very effectively because most people are using bots/tools that haven't been actively developed for years. You have to do some stuff like this for live MMORPGs, Blizzard tried some, but it won't be as effective since they're multi-million dollar pieces of software being actively developed like Glider/Honorbuddy was.

Again, the fact that you can just pick it and decompile it says enough

You're dealing with a bot that is not particularly sophisticated in the sense, it isn't trying to hide

I was just speaking about the generality of the idea that Ascension can just fight anyone because it has money, there are people out there who would make it very hard, and not be particularly easy to detect

Well, he did try to protect the bot. It's not as simple as just running some basic .NET/C# decompilation tool. It's obfuscated and you must find a way to decrypt all the strings from his client too.
