how is injection different to changing raw bytes ? my idea here is that i dont want to have huge item dbc to not consume ram but i also want to limit side effects like naked characters

well your logic needs to fit / replace existing bytes or you need to add a code cave

I still don't get what you are trying to do, if the client doesn't need the entries in your Item.dbc then simply delete them

it does need them they are items(gear) so they would be question marks and my choices are either huge dbc or skip dbc

Well if it needs them then you cannot skip loading them <:ConfusedCat:657442307280470016>

then im not sure i understand this whole deal....item dbc is loaded in client and used in caching process for items this is issue with big item dbc and as far i read here that can be removed so item dbc is not used therefore items are not cached and ram is not used

the caching you are talking about are WDB caches and they are fetched from the server

You can patch the binary to not need the item dbc at all, and only use WDB cache, but it's pretty buggy and has some weird side effects
