i dont have experience with RE so i want to check if my assumption is correct....for example when client is loading item dbc this can be removed by changing some byte code at given position would it be same if i wanted to do something like use item dbc for first 500k items and ignore for higher ids ?

You would need to inject the code into the loading process of the DBC
