If you start with the TomRUS ida db, and basically start adding some structure, a lot of it becomes pretty plain English

Especially you can quite easily go from lua functions with known behavior to associated functions through the C function for that lua function

There is also cata+ mac symbols that you can overlay to get somewhat similar structures for parts of the code

but of course it is hard to get started if you don't know asm or how to reverse engineer, but I think personally I would not want to setup the git repos n shit to support giving fixes

The closest to 1.12.1 is the alpha builds which is helpful but the similarity is not as good as 3.3.5 with cata
