Quote: I've made a WoW Launcher that is much better then the others (and I know there are many) out there. It looks like the normal WoW launcher and is very user friendly. Its features include, obviously, launching WoW, changing your realmlist and deletes your cache and wtf folders, auto-detecting your WoW directory, and it has a built in web browser that goes to XtremeTop100.com - Gaming top 100 list so you can pick some new servers when you need to. There are two versions of this program, one for the 2.4 version of WoW if you play on a pre-wotlk server and a 3.0 and later version.
Note: When connecting to a private server, you must have your directory found, the auto-detection feature needs to know your OS so it knows what folders to look for your WoW directory. When you type the servers realmlist in the appropriate text box, you don't need the SET Realmlist part it will do that for you.

I know the 3.0 version had a 1/40 but I guarantee you that both programs are completely safe.
Also, thanks to Kirth for the idea of the auto-detecting directory. And thanks to everyone else for their ideas. I planned on adding more things soon like letting your change the URL in the browser and saving realms etc. but I just made this in a few hours so I didn't really focus for everything. I'll be doing more stuff soon maybe tonight even.

Feature request? How about a version of your launcher made to be used for a single private server? I'd like to have this to give to my less-computer-savvy players.. when they run it, the built-in browser points to MY web server (configurable address?) rather than the top 100, and maybe allows basic branding for the private server thats using it. That way, they have the opportunity to read the latest news on my server without having to open a seperate browser and go to the website. Maybe have a ini file that holds the private servers realmlist address, web url, and a logo url. That would rock!

I admit the graphics are pretty bad I don't pretend to be good with graphics I'm just learning how to script in VB.
Here is a comparison of the launcher with the origional.
I think their pretty similar, there are differences because of the realm changer etc. but still the overall layout is similar. And I know the web browsers simple just thought it was a nice touch. And I already started changing this trying to make it better. The reason I post stuff is so people will give some constructive criticism and I can get better. And I made this specifically because I'm learning so I want to make something that does a lot of things, finding directories, writing deleting changing files, it's pretty good if your trying to learn since it uses a lot of different things. Hopefully the next version will impress you guys more. I'll try to do some of the graphics a bit better to.
