Just realized this channel existed. So my current plan for my project is to reverse engineer how reputations work. Im doing a project called WORS (World of RS) from that you can understand I need to add a bunch of skills with a xp tracker and what not. I believe using factions is the way to go. I can modify the amount of ranks I have for the factions, so i can go from 8 ranks and have 99 ranks and just label them lvl 1 to lvl 99. Each reputation (which will now be called skills) I can change the name to whatever the respective skill is. So you chop a log you gain 25 XP(reputation) to the woodcutting skill(faction) and voila. For blacksmithing Im going to use the profession interface, but not the leveling system. So for examplle you need to make steel platebodies and you need lvl 50 smithing. Go up to an anvil, open the blacksmithing tab and in order for you to make that platebody it checks to see if you are lvl 50 smithing (rank 50 on the faction) and hopefully that works. I plan on doing it with combat xp too. Kill a mob you gain 40 xp of att str def magic or ranged, BUT Im running into the issue of how do i get the game to know which style im choosing. How will the game know im using mage to kill a goblin and gain 40 xp. Hitpoints is easy to train so not worried about that one. And then combat lvl. There is a formula to figure out your combat lvl in RS. But can i implement that into wow using factions to then show the lvl ? And just scratch the xp lvling method to show ur lvl in wow? Can i get it to go off of factions?
