actually in saying that, I meant hovering models like the fleshrippers, a *real* flying model might not make good use of that shadow, perhaps a flying creature could use a box? Or maybe a beam of light connecting it to the ground so you get a better frame of reference to where its actually at?

Back in WotLK times, the creature template had 4 entries for model. The first one was the actual model. The second one had values too. I went ahead back then to render it and it appeared like this. I think they used model of this little boy to show the spawn point
