(I know it's a lot different and more complex than adding files to mpq but it'd help a lot I believe, since it'd mean no need to have the custom files out in the open)

Probably. Luzifix and I will tackle it this weekend. We lacked propper cdn Files from Blizz which we can now get and we‘ll have a look at it.
