[Archive] Vanilla Botter - a 1.12.1 bot
Quote:Since some idiot deleted the actual thread in the light of recent events, I'll repost the OP here now. As of now, the whole thread can still be found with google cache here
Current (GUI) version: 1.8.1, 25th September 2014

(Free version: 1.2.8 )
Finally, what a lot of you have waited for has been released - a bot for World of Warcraft 1.12.1 servers.
Different to my last project, a MultiHack for 1.12.1, this was coded in C++ and not C#, therefore you have to deal with the plain command tool.
It is probably not the nicest to look at, but I just could not stand C# anymore and I wanted something functional. I don't really think a bot needs some fancy interface to serve its purpose.
What the bot can do:To improve the usefulness of these things, it also features:
- Grinding mobs
- Farming resources
- Fishing
- Healbot
- Vendoring
- Mailing
How to use the bot:
- Relogging
- Using bait
- Detecting players (and logging off)
- Managing multiple copies of WoW at once
- In the paid version:
- Remote Control
- Easy to share profiles
- Background looting
- Smoother, more efficient and many other options
- Profile Chaining
- A lot more... A full list of changes over the free version can be found in my forum
By typing 'help' you can get a list of every command. If you're just starting out, there are a few things to do:
Create your own combat profile (or get one if you use the paid version)Create or get a farm profile (free version: see help commands with "farmprofile" "recordwaypoints" "addbyid" "save"Run the bot (with "grind" on free) ;-)
A bit more explanation:
1.
The first one is the most complicated one. Combat profiles have to be created by hand and they have to be placed in the 'combat' folder.
For examples on how to create profiles check the two existing profiles, just open them up with your notepad. A guide with a description of all commands can be found here (current version) or here (1.2.8 ).
2.
The second step can be done with the bot. Just check out the farmprofile-command and also type 'help profiles'.
You should choose your farming zone wisely, an open area is the best as characters can get stuck a lot in buildings or other things. When you know where to go, start a profile with 'farmprofile', then use the 'recordwaypoints' command to record waypoints (and ghost waypoints if required). Ghost waypoints should always start at the graveyard and close in to the zone where you're actually farming.
While creating the profile make sure to add a few mobs with the 'addbyfaction' or 'addbyid' commands.
If you're creating a resource farming profile, swap the mode with 'changemode' and keep using 'addbyid' to add IDs of nodes and herbs (or chests) while holding your mouse over them.
In the end you shouldn't forget to use the 'save' command.
3.
To run the bot, you first have to assign profiles to the process ids, this is done with the 'grind' command. The entered profile names have to be a single word each and they do not include the extensions. Entering the directory names is not necessary. If you are using the paid version you can also do this steps online via the remote control.
Official Vanilla Botter website, you can buy the paid version here, find the downloads or access the forums for support and profiles.
Cheers, Lys

Quote: If you just afk, I doubt it. If you set up the bot properly and run it, most likely so.
