I'm new on the scene here, but joined Ownedcore today to present a demo version of something long long in the making. Betterbot (Betterbot.org) is a new WoW botting and hacking tool kit for creating extremely efficient bots. Our current iteration offers robust pathfinding, combat digest cycles, wallhack, scriptshop, movement & combat entropy, a cutting edge UI and configuration panel, memory inspector, and other debug tools! Be sure to watch our video.
Today my goal was just to make an announcement, but more detailed info will follow in the coming weeks. We're planning for a full launch in ~3 months. The ultimate goal is to build an RSBot-like community for legacy WoW.

Right now we're running a closed alpha, but if you join us on our forum (forum.betterbot.org) and introduce yourself we may consider you as a beta participant. This is part of an initiative to get our forums active. If you're interested in BetterBot the best way to help out for the time being is to join in on the discussion there.

This is defiantly a legit concern for our founding customers. We have no reputation yet so every thing I say at this point is really just words. I should mention that BetterBot won't be available to the public for around 3 months.
I personally am the type of person to be super skeptical of random software, and have a purist attitude with what I install, especially with closed source applications (BetterBot's core is closed source, our API for bot scripting is open source). Here are some reasons I can give you that would influence my ability to trust and consider BetterBot.
1. BetterBot costs money and is public with it's business model. We charge $9/mo for normal users and $5/mo per client starting at 20 clients for bulk purchasers.
2. We offer a checkbox consent form for all telemetry and user data sent from the app. Some data is required to be sent to our servers like path-finding information but the user is still required to consent.
3. The team behind BetterBot (Orea, and Grimmfang) have stellar reputations and will never defy our principals. No one develops a complicated hack like this with the primary goal of making money, we do it for fun, and in the spirit of learning. Once again this is just our word, but it's worth mentioning. I've been speaking out about Elysium's scummy security practices since before their launch.
4. I am a long standing member of the Free Software Foundation and GNU project and care deeply about computer users freedom and privacy. You can find my credentials at the fsf.org member page. (You may wonder why an FSF member is creating closed source software so I may as well state my position. I believe deeply that open-source software is the only solution to security, the spirit of education, and giving the user freedom to control and modify programs as they wish. But in some circumstances it is necessary to keep a program non-libre, for example in a situation where releasing the source code could make it easy for a private server to close exploits we use to interact with the game.)
5. This one may be a little bit silly but it's worth mentioning: we put an ass-load of effort into making our software bug free, and our UI's beautiful and easy to use while removing unnecessary configuration steps. Just look at our website, it's art.

Avoiding anti-cheat is one thing, being watched by a human is another of course. More information will come in the future about how BetterBot avoids detection.

BetterBot supports AFK botting and offers user a wide selection of options for dealing with real players while doing so.

2. BetterBot can respond in Chinese to look like a foreign player if configured.
