I figured out the other day I can make textures for bakednpctextures and thats been fun, id love to try changing the appearance of an item

like the main texture of the item? If that is the case you are going to need it's uv layout (if you want to go completely custom) or just edit the blp and change the color of it

the color for the m2 is usually entered into dbc not hardcoded.... and you get the blp when you extract the m2 (if you use wow.export)
