that's what's going to happen.
would recommend you to set up a fresh database in addition, so you have a playground to experiment with, without destroying your wow server db XD

right, thinking about it this is imported from the server to be able to edit, need to put it back manually after edit as its a dbc file, so i should be good?

Pretty sure it is related to comparing item stats. Do you have auto compare stats enabled? That could be the reason that only you experience this crash, others should try Ctrl + hover over the item.
