either way feels like a situation where you can employ a lot of tricks, so i don't think you need to fix it "properly" clientside so as to speak

I mean, depending on the flexibility of the reload thing, one could probably have a toggle button somewhere: "show characters 1-10/show characters 11-20"

yeah without even serverside proficiency you're going to have a pretty bad time, i'd probably just multi acc at that point
