I tried looking through this for the specific passive object im looking for, but can't find it when searching through any of the obect data tables, at least not by its name in model viewer. My end goal is to take the M2 for some of the swarming bugs in silithus and find their display ID, and try to make an npc with that display id, much like the npcs in the test area from stoneharrys spell editor. Then use those npcs for custom spell visuals.
The disconnect is finding the display id of a passive object is proving to be much more difficult than other objects/npcs. Do these not have display id's that I can see in my database, are they not all well documented in their data tables? What if I export it, then reimport it, can I give it a new display ID that I can use then?
Also as a note, I really appreciate all the information guys, I know enough to know I barely even know the right questions to ask yet, so you entertaining my ramblings and giving me nudges in the right directions is really helping me figure this stuff out in a way that clicks.
