Yes, only the end changes, in the DBC you only specify the beginning of the item name, before the _

it does. for some things it has its own version of dbc data covnerted to csv though

Ah. So if I were to make an MPQ and put the model in to the right spot, I could see if everything looks right in WMV?
I don't suppose there's a way to edit it with the right model as a mannequin to make sure everything's in the right spot, is there?

And also the proper place to put the M2 is in the mpq under "Item\ObjectComponents\Head"

Don't think so, but you need to register custom patches in WMV
