There would be a little problem with that because of the 5 minute cooldown. It would work, but you would only get up one jump every 5 minutes (talk about insanely slow).
For campfires, darkportal would be better because you can stack those and the height gain per campfire is a lot more.
Also, just curious, but where is the platform located in the mpq? I think it might work well for hunter traps and mage portals when one doesn't have a friend to do it with.
