True. But most people just dislike the fact that their work is getting put into trash servers or just simply sold for $ somewhere on the forums.

Even though listfile obfuscation worked against this in like 2012. People who do this kind of stealing have developed the parsers long ago. Probably ordered from someone.

Without a lot of time investment and accessibility (ingame) you can also generate it at runtime by hooking SFileOpenFileEx

for fuckported content you can open mpq with an additional listfile, and yeah same for custom maps you can just create a listfile with all the possible files for that map
