Im trying to give players on my 3.3.5a TC server talent points starting from level 5 and just learned that I a need client patch in addition to code change. I would really appreciate help to make a patch that deals with this.
Ive only made patches for DBCs, Maps and sound. No idea where to even begin with things related to code/UI checks or what this entails.

you can also try a workaround which would be easier to patch than to patch the clients

write a c++ script and connect it to an item when used you get levelup to level 5 + talent points. Unfortunately I don't know c++ but there are some here or in the forum want to buy create a thread. I think it should be possible with c++.

It's the UI that prevents that, there's a check to stop talents displaying before level 10.
