A bit late to the party, but Afaik every spell can be affected by core script if it's linked in spell_script_names table, but only spells with effects "SPELL_EFFECT_SCRIPT_EFFECT (77) or SPELL_EFFECT_DUMMY(3)" can be linked to spell_scripts script and be handled by DB.
