Quote: Hello everyone. As some of you know, The Burning Crusade introduced a new model file(.m2) bone structure rendering every model in pre 2.0 Warcraft unusable in 2.0+ warcraft.

With the release of this patch, the new model was introduced. I am here to tell you that your model edits will not work from here on out. This is not to say that model editing is gone, just that everything in your patch-x speechx what have you that included an M2 switch will not work. You need to grab the m2 from the new files and switch it.

DBC file switched that involved model edits (CreatureDisplayInfo/ItemDisplayInfo) should still work fine, so don't go and change those.

Every single DBC file is now located under Locale-enUS.mpq as well as a few in Patch-enUS.mpq

Speech2 no longer works. Patch-# does, as well as Patch-EnUS-# in your EnUS folder(or EnGB, or whatever). Patch-X as in letter,(eg. Patch-B) works. Spell.dbc switches causes wow to crash.

Just a heads up, happy Model Changing. [Image: smile.png]

Update, if you title your MPq patch-X it will crashon load up saying it doesn't have enough storage space. Rename your mpq Patch-EnUS-X.mpq and put it in EnUS or whatever subfolder you have.
