Anyone know off the top of their head where a stance is defined to be part of a group of mutually exclusive stances/forms/etc?

Like, what would I need to change to make a new warrior stance that will cancel any other warrior stances when it is activated?

When I was working on this I noticed every spell I looked at with a transform was using creature_template id. I would just make a creature with the display id I wanted and add that to the misc value a on the transform spell. Not sure if that helps ya

This is because Transform does more than just swap visual, inherits the creatures faction template, movement speeds etc iirc. Morph is purely visual.
