hey guys, im trying to make a new spell/edit old ones for my SPP 1.1.2 server. I placed the new edited spell.dbc into the core of the vanilla module, and created a patch in my client. The new spell I created does not show up in game at all, and if I edit a existing spell it will show up with the new icon and tooltip but have the same effect as the original spell.
could it be SPP thats at fault and i should try to simply run a clean server and edit that core db?

Is this the only custom spell it does it with? Sounds like a patch issue to me but could be wrong

ive tried replacing the core spell.dbc twice one with said custom spell that didnt even show up when I used .look spell or .cast and another where I edited an original spell

I just know that when I had the issue it ended up being that my patch wasn’t reading my spell.dbc and was only showing the icon change

Ended up actually being that I used my servers dbc and not the new one in patch lol, I placed the server one in the patch before I ended up putting my custom dbc in my server

its the same file, but I didnt edit the original spell.dbc I simply replaced it with the one created by the spell editor
