I have a server for friends, I dont plan on it being big I want to beable to do a launcher to get updates out better so I was going to use amarath's launcher however it requires a website file is there any way to do this in a cheap method or free method?

Web hosts can be very cheap, you're going to need to host the data somewhere. You might get away with hosting it on github
