Yeah they aren't recolors, they are actual parts of the texture, but most seem pretty unimportnat

Sounds normal. Open the BLP with BLP Lab and inspect the compression type and such. It *should* be DXTC compression

Go into your CreatureDisplayInfo.dbc and make sure you put the textures on the model from there

The .m2 is probably ignoring all of that texture data due to it being corrupted. Try putting "Viciousalliancespider.blp" in "Texture1" and "armor.blp" in 2/3
