there is a fairly simple test you can do to quickly figure it out without technical ability, involving adding a hand-crafted dbc in every mpq with a unique id that shows up in game and removing them top down

tswows admin did do a test like that but we completely fucked our notes to my knowledge, but i can ask if they still have it

I don't have the manifest file in my client though. Maybe that came with later expansions? :/ The link there still works though.
