you can put your files anywhere, only loading order will change

I had no idea if they were a part of a larger file or if the smaller files would be merged into the larger map or whatever it is

different patches are not read separately, WoW reads all patches everytime and loads the last version of the file

No I understand that, I just feel like I remember having 2 world-edit patches in the past that were not compatible

Can't remember why, but with my knowledge of how files load now, I imagine that was because they shared some more general files that conflicted, even though they weren't in the same area really
