thats a bit of an aggressive take, AC is a fork of TC with modules to make drop in code easier, a much more relaxes PR process that would rather take a buggy hack fix rather than nothing at all, currently has a larger developerbase and has a few modifications such as all maps loaded to ram rather than on demand and some other small stuff. overall very similar cores still. yes, ac licensing issues as of late has allowed it to take from tc and not the other way around but they are supposedly in the works to fix this up.

i personally choose tc rather than ac due to issues with the ac maintainers views (mostly how much shin talks shit) and due to tc choice of stability rather than accepting anything that even sorta works
