make a specular texture with low opacity. Just duplicate your texture, open it in photoshop and set opacity to like 5%, save/convert and name it the old texture + `_s`.
e.g. `TILESET/YOUR_TILESET/your_texture.blp` has specular map `TILESET/YOUR_TILESET/your_texture_s.blp`

lower opacity -> less glow. if you want better results you can create a real specular map and/or lower the opacity of the existing map you're already using

The _h is normally used for the alpha blending in mop+ iirc
