not sure then, and i can't think of anyone modding mop right away. tbc has some kind of integrity check but wotlk works out of the box. I don't think cata needs anything either

i know mop did change a bunch of stuff for asset streaming, so there might be something with that. if you can't figure it out by renaming mpqs, you're looking for someone specifically working with mop, maybe cata if there really is none

What should I rename the mpq to? Isn't the mpqs files that's actually load in the game?

they are, but there's a specific load order for them and they need specific names to be read
