Quote: So, I decided to start making another environment change. It's not quite as cool as my first one (Elwynn Desert) but this time I actually changed everything, I didn't leave some of the ground different and I changed all the detail things on the ground. I changed the tileset to deadwind pass stuff and made them kinda custom just making them a little darker. I changed the trees to some petrified trees in Stonetalon Mountains. Here are some screenshots:
Here's the download link: http://rapidshare.com/files/32373311/patch-5.mpq.html
Again, any ideas how to make it better or what I should do for my next edit would be great!

Quote: The textures of the dwarven town don't quite match up with the theme. Also, it's not particularly evident in your photos, but were the creatures changed according to your execution? Brightly colored boars don't quite match up.
Generally, just bright colored objects wouldn't work so well. That tent in your final shot seems out of place.

Quote: Warlock.. I like your edits so far, but imo I would spend more time on each one, change EVERYTHING. These look good but I always liked it when people redid everything! One of my favorite movies is by a Ex nogg-ahlolic Nayra. He redid EVERYTHING, even the zone name and called it Emerald Island (Just an example don't do anything with emerald dream stuff PLEASE)... Anyways I don't expect you to be that good but still try to redo some of the creatures and NPC's I think it would look a lot more interesting!

Quote: Well I guess I could've done better with the NPCs and stuff but I'm not sure how to change the green moss
I know where the files are but im not quite sure how to make a custom file for something like that since it's a wmo and I dont think it has a .blp. For my next zone I'll try to figure that out and change the creatures along with it. Part of the reasons some things in my zone seem out of place (in Elwynn Desert I left the plants on the ground and a few places had the grass tileset) was because I can't find the files to change. I'll definitely redo creatures next time though.

Don't be a fool. The only thing without BLPs are particle effects.

It's not so much as I don't think they have a BLP as I'm not sure where I would find it. I've never edited a wmo before so it's not like I'd know anything about it.

An easy method is opening the parent WMO in Notepad.
