hey Alastor, i dont see the "suffix" in ChrRaces.dbc, but, i do see the ClientPrefix ... i assume thats not the same

".lookup area darkmoon" and ".lookup map darkmoon" show the entries and the correct names so server-side the correct DBCs are in place. I am pretty sure this is most likely client-side.

Need help from client experts. I want to reduce the rendering distance on the location (I'm not talking about fog). On Azeroth and Kalimdor, the draw distance for the location is 791. In Northrend and custom locations, the distance is 1277. I've explored the files a lot. I know for sure that the source is not in the location files, and not in the DBC of lighting or areas. Everything points to the fact that this is a hardcode tied to specific location ids.

I thought that asking a question here is the last thing left for me. Unfortunately, I do not understand the structure of the exe file to find out whether it is hardcode or not.

Of course, we are talking about the default values, maximum settings for the visibility range.
