what my prototype atm can do is you can script things live using C# and the real debugger. Everything live. You can also step from .NET code to native code in the debugger to see what's what

The Eluna api isn't a good example, there's way too many hard coded connections, hence why we host our own fork. What would be nice is a proper api you could hook any form of external engine into, be it Lua or whatever other scripting language Interpreter

it's a little hard to make an api that will work with _every_ scripting engine easily because they usually expect different formats (some will just not accept classes at all while others demand it)
