well you can line trace in front of your feet also, that would be the easiest solution that not requires to add new math functions

ye well best way would be to implement cylinder collisions check with the vmap tree as every model has an already defined cylinder bound data in the dbcs

not sure if you can easily implement that efficiently, VMAP models use Bounding interval hierarchy method I think

It's because qstring uses unicode; being 16 bit wide.
I believe there is a function such as Cstr which converts to a std:Confusedtring (yes, not a char*)
That shod get you the normal format, but keep in mind you will lose the benefit of it being unicode.
Im pretty sure the wide format is for unicode, could be wrong though.
