Hi, I also encounter a build error (well, link actually) trying to compile on the master branch (would this be appropriate here or more on #dev ?)
It is related to OpenSSL- I downloaded the 3.4.0 version for win64, cmake finds it and adds it to the command line options `"C:\Program Files\OpenSSL-Win64\lib\VC\libssl64MD.lib" "C:\Program Files\OpenSSL-Win64\lib\VC\libcrypto64MD.lib"` but when I try to compile, I have some unresolved symbols `EVP_xxx` and `OSSL_xxx`
Am I missing a .lib or a dependency somewhere ?

no, your openssl installation folder has remains of a old version in it that gets picked by cmake
you need to first uninstall openssl in control panel, then after its done, manually delete `C:\Program Files\OpenSSL-Win64` and finally install openssl again

it worked thanks!
now it targets `"C:\Program Files\OpenSSL-Win64\lib\VC\x64\MDd\libssl.lib" "C:\Program Files\OpenSSL-Win64\lib\VC\x64\MDd\libcrypto.lib"` and compiles until the end!
It was weird because I do not think this folder existed before (had not installed openssl beforehand) but thank you for the quick answer
