because before then, problems like you had were really super common...basically importing sqls in the wrong order, or if an sql file gets changed in the repository or whatever

and yeah, there's been a lot of recent changes to auth, because a lot of how the encryption has been handled on the backend and stuff changed with the srp6 update

I have been recommending to people who can't log in to just try resetting their password, that usually does the trick
