at best this can save ONE BYTE if all rows in the entire file have empty strings

well I also have offset issues on achievent.db2 and others where I is offset 8 writte for an empty string

that is basically an issue I have in previous versions of the db2 files too for automatic string detection since I cant just fall back to empty string
