That's the thing - I don't know. Ive got the correct wow.exe version from wow tools, and since 8.x uses a streaming downloading scheme I do not know what steps I need to take to get this working.

Installing 3.3.5 was simple enough, but installing master is more of an adventure.

i havent touched that sandbox since legion but if you read over the last messages here it looks like its not enough to have the correct exe file - clients data must be 8.25 too

Basically the instructions say "Copy the files to your root WoW folder where wow.exe is located". This obviously doesn't apply to 8.x where the file structure has changed.

Everybody says that compiling master right now won't work beacuse there isn't still support for 8.3.x, that could be right, i don't know anything except how to compile thanks to the guide, the rest is chinese for me, but when i did my server the game was already in 8.3.x and i did what i mentioned early, and i could extract the maps, vmaps, dbc, everything

I can compile master just fine, unless you are referring to extraction when you say "compile".
