Hi everyone. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but here goes nothing.
A friend of mine has had a server in 3.3.5a using Trinitycore for a couple of years now and I help him keep it running (mainly by making sure nothing explodes, restoring backups when things explode and adding little features or commands when he needs them).
A few days ago he asked me if it was possible to make the jump to the later versions of WoW so I tried to compile the master branch and get it running. Overall the process of setting up a server is as smooth as ever and the instructions on the wiki are quite useful, but even after compiling and setting everything up, I get "Unable to Connect" whenever I try to log in.

Some additional info:
- The server is running on a VM (Ubuntu 18.04). I run WoW from the host computer (Windows 10). I can connect to the server just fine using SSH, HeidiSQL and whatnot and I haven't set up any firewalls there.
- The "LoginREST.ExternalAddress" and "LoginREST.LocalAddress" variables are pointing to the VM's address, 192.168.x.x
- I've tried leaving BindIP to 0.0.0.0 and setting it to 192.168.x.x, both offer the same result
- Config.wtf has the appropriate ``SET portal "192.168.x.x"``

So I'm thinking that either I'm missing something important... Or the problem is in the client launcher. I'm trying to use Arctium since that's what I've found by searching through Trinitycore's forum but perhaps there's something I'm not configuring correctly? Any ideas?

The bnetserver console logs don't seem to show any connection attempts so I'm guessing it's the client launcher but I can't find enough information about it in order to debug the issue

If there's any alternative to that or if anyone's cool with pointing me in the direction of how client patching is currently done (I'm guessing it's not on the wiki for legal reasons), I'd appreciate it!
