Looks *really* bad, and has the NPCs occasionally walking off the route for a moment before clipping back onto it.

Even with pretty long intervals it's usually okay, not perfect obviously and the longer the distance the more likely you are to get mmap weirdness I find but up to about 20 yards is usually fine. I can't advise on best practices or tools for doing straight to the DB as we use TS-WoW so it's as simple as walking around spamming a `.at` macro and copy pasting the output it gives.
