it's useful for editing existing entries, you just can't add anything

It will not solve the problem, without being able to uniquely identity a row, the editor can't function properly.

phpmyadmin or other mysql database tools can do that too

these tools simply use all columns in WHERE when there is no PK

Yes and I certainly don't want to do this, because this can affect multiple rows, which is not only confusing for the user, but it is also confusing for detecting it in the editor
