I think a good example was the avatar of flame. It's not really a texture thing more like a model thing. Where it looks like it was copied from modern wow and pasted in classic

The required skillset and enthusiasm on the TC team is spread away from 3.4 - so unless someone new from the community steps up, probably will never happen
