I glanced at ur PR and it's not bad, especially for what you called yourself a beginner. I've seen _much_ worse lol. but yes, there's some issues that need to be addressed. it's constructive criticism, it'd take less than 30 minutes to apply those fixes, now you've learned and will apply those suggestions towards future scripts. what's exactly wrong with that?

If you just pile stuff up without rules and consistency, the codebase will turn into a giant mess. Readability matters - especially for the next dev who comes along and has to understand and work with your code.
Nothing wrong with constructive critism, noone is rushing you ;p
