Why do you need a 3.3.5 client if your media is going to arrive?
Anyway, just find a torrent or a zip file, if it contains patch-xx.mpq with xx > 3 (like 9), delete those

Bought battle chest- it has all the expansions through Mists of Pandaria- on DVD and my Thinkpad doesn't have DVD, or CD or anything.
And it has arrived.

i dont understand? "battle chest" has been useless for years, you cant do anything with it anyway other than put on shelf for display

you could have just as well just download the installer for whatever version you want and patch that one up without burning a fortune

because legally you would start the launcher which would just download the battlenet app and kill the old installation alltogether
