Each captive represents a specific race. So if I am a blood elf and I accept the quest, I will have to step inside the house to see the blood elf and the blood elf will talk on its own. After spewing its dialogue, a.k.a. exposition, she will tell me to kill her and I shall slay her because I am a douchebag. Then I will go complete the quest.
