I like to do the low level quests for each race on my characters. Around 40, I just go to the start areas for each race and work through until I'm roughly in the 40ish range of quests from that race. I've got a Tauren character this time, and I've just arrived at Sunstrider Isle, and this time, Magistrix Erona does not have the starting quest for me to pick up. Is there something I've messed up? I can't find ANY quests in this area for them. Short of forcing the quest to begin with a command (which I'd rather not do) The only thing I can think of is maybe it's reputation-linked? I'm currently Honored with Silvermoon City. Should I check back when I'm Revered? Or will that even matter?

those quests have flags on them to only allow blood elves to do them

if you're just playing singleplayer, you can do this on your world db `UPDATE quest_template set AllowableRaces = 0 WHERE AllowableRaces = 512;`

512 is the blood elf racemask. Alliance still won't be able to take the quest because they're not friendly with the questgiver

One final question, if you know the answer. Is there a way I can just outright make all races/factions tolerant of players, regardless of their race/faction? In other words, is there a reasonable way to make a Tauren able to just stroll into Wetlands and start picking up Alliance quests? Or is that a bit outside the grasp of the settings?

might be possible either by messing around with queries on `creature_template` to change `faction` values, but there are tons of factions involved with both alliance and horde so it'd probably take more work than that

and then just plainly setting AllowableRaces to 0 on the entire `quest_template` database
